This is a full time 12 month, 8 hours per day position, second shift during the school year and first shift during summer.  Hours are subject to change on an as needed basis.  Successful candidate would be eligible for medical, dental, vision and life insurance, retirement plan, sick, personal and vacation days. 

 

PAINTER

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  1. High school diploma or equivalency. 
  1. Knowledge of various types of paint and related materials, and experience in using standard or recognized methods of painting. 
  1. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may find appropriate or acceptable. 

 

REPORTS TO:    Director of Building and Grounds 

 

JOB GOAL:         To help maintain the physical school plants in a condition of operating excellence so that full educational uses may be made at all times. 

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Performs a wide range of painting duties.  Coordinates, mixes, and thins all types of paint and fillers.  Installs or sets ladders, and scaffolding in a secure manner so as not to be a job hazard. 
  1. Applies general knowledge of various types of paints where using standard or recognized painting methods and procedures. 
  1. Knows of the care and proper use of the tools provided for the job. 
  1. Prepares and repairs all surfaces to be painted. 
  1. Performs other reasonable duties as are assigned by the Director of Building and Grounds for the well-being of the school district.
