Secretary/Clerical Positions
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate with secretarial experience of one to three years.
- Demonstrates 80% or above on District Approved Performance based assessment.
- Must have understanding and knowledge of computer technology.
- Must possess excellent personal and public relations skills.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate or acceptable.
REPORTS TO: Supervisor (Principal or Administrator)
JOB GOAL: To perform secretarial duties
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains confidentiality of all discussions, decisions, recommendations, records, and practices.
- Transcribes various types of correspondence, reports, and notices.
- Obtains, gathers, and organizes pertinent data as needed, and puts them into usable form.
- Maintains a regular filing system, as well as set of locked confidential files, and processes incoming correspondence as instructed.
- Places and receives telephone calls, and records messages in a timely and professional manner.
- Orders and maintains an inventory of office supplies.
- Maintains a welcoming office environment.
- Organizes requisitions as directed by building principal or administrator. Checks in materials and helps prepare for opening of school year.
- Performs bookkeeping duties associated with student records, building requisitions, cafeteria procedures, student attendance and teacher employment.
- Performs other reasonable duties as are assigned by the supervisor.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and benefits to be determined in accordance with the negotiated agreement between Crawford Central Board of School Directors and Crawford Central Educational Support Professional Association.
EVALUATION: Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of non-professional personnel by Supervisor
